A Glycohemoglobin Total Blood Test is useful to monitor the blood sugar of a diabetic.
This test is used to measure the amount of sugar that is bonded to the hemoglobin and is generally performed regularly to monitor diabetic treatment. If the treatment plan is working, the numbers will continually decrease over time. If the results of the test are higher than the goal percentage, one's physician can make changes to the meal plan, exercise strategy, and medications.
