Liver Tests

Thank you for shopping our liver tests. The liver is an organ that is part of the digestive system and serves many important functions that contribute to maintaining overall health. Some of the functions of the liver include filtering out harmful toxins in the body, synthesizing proteins, and producing enzymes needed for digestion. The liver is a vital organ; there is no long-term substitute to compensate for a non-functioning liver. Early detection of blood abnormalities related to liver functioning is especially important because liver damage is particularly difficult to recover from fully. Yearly blood testing of the liver is recommended for all adults and more frequent testing is recommended for individuals who are at a high risk for liver dysfunction, such as those who have a metabolic disorder, Reye’s syndrome, hepatitis B, or tuberculosis. Ordering a liver function blood test from Walk-in Labs is a fast, convenient, and affordable way to monitor liver health.
