Preparation:
Ship to lab Monday-Thursday only. Please read all of the directions and the collection procedures prior to starting the test. It is recommended that patients omit fish and shellfish from their diet for one week prior to collecting the urine specimen. Patients should also refrain from taking non-essential medications or dietary supplements and gadolinium-based contrast media (used in MRI) for 48 hours prior to and during the specimen collection. Patients should consult with their physicians prior to stopping any medications. Female patients should not collect urine during a menstrual period.
