Description

Order an antihistone antibodies blood test to help in the diagnosis and monitoring of drug-induced lupus erythematosus. Histone antibodies are autoantibodies that are produced by a person's immune system from their histones. Histone autoantibodies are one several types of antinuclear antibodies, including a variety of auto-immune disorders and lupus. Drugs can stimulate histone antibodies' production in some people and can cause a type of lupus called drug-induced lupus erythematosus.
