Cashews are a popular nut. Many people eat them alone or use them in food dishes. They may be found in pastries, pesto, nut butter, many Asian cuisines, among other foods. Cashews and byproducts can also be found in makeup, shampoo, lotions, and other toiletry items. You can look for “Anacardium occidentale extract” and “Anacardium occidentale nut oil” on the label. This Cashew Allergy Test will evaluate someone’s allergic reaction to cashew nuts. Cashew allergies could be isolated, or it could include other nuts such as pistachios, almonds, or walnuts. Symptoms can usually begin to appear immediately after exposure.

Symptoms could include:

•  Trouble swallowing

•  Runny nose

•  Diarrhea

•  Abdominal pain

•  Vomiting

•  Itchy throat and mouth

•  In extreme cases, anaphylaxis

Positive allergy test results should be discussed with your physician.
