What is the purpose of this test?
The IgG Vegetarian (21 IgG Foods) - Serum - Genova Test Kit is designed to measure IgG food sensitivity to 21 common vegetarian foods. IgG antibodies are part of your immune system and may be linked to delayed food reactions. These types of reactions can take hours or even days to show up, making it hard to figure out which food is causing symptoms. Testing for IgG antibodies can help identify possible food triggers that may contribute to symptoms like bloating, headaches, fatigue, joint pain, or skin issues.
This food sensitivity test uses a blood sample (serum) to measure your immune system's response to each of the 21 vegetarian foods listed. It also checks your total IgE levels, which can provide extra information about possible allergic responses. With this test, you can better understand how your body reacts to certain plant-based foods and make smarter choices about what you eat to support your overall health and wellness.

For food antibody testing, patients should ideally eat a variety of foods for 2–3 weeks before the test—unless a food causes severe reactions—to help ensure accurate antibody detection. Recent food avoidance may lead to absent antibody responses. Some medications, including steroids, immunosuppressants, NSAIDs, and others, may affect results. If possible, take medications or supplements after collection, but consult your physician before making any changes.
Test Results:
