Rectal and colon cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, is cancer that starts in the rectum or colon.  It appears when there is an out of control growth of abnormal cells within the layers of tissues that line the colon.  Several tests used for this cancer is the Occult Blood, Fecal, Immunoassay Test, the CEA, and CA 19-9.
